Role Overview Position Type: Full Time Permanent Position of Leadership: POL 3 (three-year tenure) Start Date: Term 1, 2027 Location: Melbourne's Western Suburbs Salary: $78,564 to $118,063 FTE depending on experience and classification. POL allowances apply for leadership positions. Role Responsibilities Lead pastoral care and student wellbeing across a designated House group, supporting the physical, social, emotional and academic development of students Supervise and mentor Learning Mentors, fostering House spirit and a culture of care and belonging Implement wellbeing initiatives and behaviour management strategies in line with college policies and restorative practice principles Monitor student attendance, uniform, behaviour and academic progress, communicating proactively with families and staff Organise and oversee House assemblies, inter-House activities, and charitable initiatives throughout the year Collaborate with the Deputy Principal, Student Wellbeing team and subject teachers to support students with diverse needs About You You're a qualified teacher who: Holds or is eligible to obtain Australian/NZ Citizenship, PR or valid work rights (Working Holiday Visa holders encouraged to apply) Holds or is eligible to obtain Victorian Institute of Teaching (VIT) Registration Has an updated resume and can provide at least two recent professional references Brings creativity and adaptability to lesson planning and delivery Maintains high expectations for student learning and wellbeing How to Get Started Are you ready to take the next step in your teaching career?
